Michelez Notaires offers certification services to companies for any legal operation, including those linked to a foreign country, requiring the intervention of a third party certifier.

The documents we receive are protected by professional secrecy. The certification is performed by a notary of the Office in accordance with the applicable rules and directives of the Chambre des Notaires de Paris. In addition, our office is specialised in corporate and company law.és.
Our teams operate all year round, and provide a very quick service: 15 minutes for a simple certification, 24 hours for a legal validation or certification (unless additional time is required by the consular services of the relevant country).
Depending on the option chosen, the documents are certified immediately in our office or delivered to your offices as per your instructions. Invoicing is carried out monthly and in accordance with your accounting procedures (including details of the order).
SIGNATURE CERTIFICATION
WHAT IS SIGNATURE CERTIFICATION?
Signature certification is the formal procedure used to certify the verification of a signature.
Signature certification does not validate the content of the document but simply verifies the veracity of the signature.ABOUT THE PROCEDURE
The signatory must come to our offices, with the document to be certified and a valid identity document with a photo and signature (photocopies of identity documents are not accepted).
If this same person requires other signature certifications later on, we can certify them without him/her needing to be present (unless the document explicitly stipulates certification in the presence of a notary). For this purpose, we keep a sample of his or her signature in our office.

CERTIFIED TRUE COPIES
WHAT IS CERTIFICATION OF A TRUE COPY?
The certification of a true copy is the certification that the copy of a document is true to the original.
ABOUT THE PROCEDURE
The applicant must submit the original document. Michelez Notaires will then photocopy the document.
We cannot certify :
– a copy that has been produced by the client – copies of identity documents

CERTIFICAT DE CAPACITÉ (LICENSING)
WHAT IS A CERTIFICAT DE CAPACITÉ?
The Office is authorised to issue a ‘Certificat de Capacité for any French company. This certificate certifies the legal capacity of the signatory to commit the company.
ABOUT THE PROCEDURE
The certificate will be issued based on the following :
– a recent original copy of the company’s K-Bis (company registration certificate)
– the original articles of association or a copy certified true and up to date by an authorised person (along with a copy of the latter’s identity document),
– the original appointment report of the manager concerned, or a copy certified true and up to date by an authorised person (along with a copy of the latter’s identity document),COST This service is priced between €450 and €1,000 excluding VAT depending on the project €450 to €1,000
LEGAL VALIDATION OF DOCUMENTS - APOSTILLES
Depending on the international agreements concluded between France and the country to which the document is addressed, the certified documents are EITHER:
– subject to legal validation (French Ministry of Foreign Affairs + Embassy of the country concerned),
– or subject to an apostille (“Cour d’Appel de Paris”),

WHAT IS LEGAL VALIDATION?
Legal validation is used solely to certify the veracity of the notary’s signature and seal as shown on the official document or on the signature authentication form.
The purpose of this legal validation formality is to ensure that the document signed in France has evidential value in the recipient country.
ABOUT THE PROCEDURE
Michelez Notaires certifies the signature, then requests legal validation from the Ministère des Affaires Etrangères (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) and the embassy of the country concerned and finally, arranges for delivery of the document.

QU’EST-CE QUE L’APOSTILLE ?
L’apostille a pour but de vérifier l’authenticité de la provenance d’un acte public, l’authenticité de la signature de la personne qui l’a délivré et la compétence de cette dernière à en faire des copies. Elle s’obtient en France, auprès de la Cour d’Appel dont dépend l’autorité certificatrice.
– Si l’acte est certifié par Michelez Notaires, l’apostille sera délivrée par la Cour d’Appel de Paris.
– Si l’acte à apostiller a été émis par une autre autorité, c’est la cour d’Appel dont dépend territorialement cette autorité qui est compétente (ex : kbis Nanterre – apostille Versailles).PROCÉDURE À SUIVRE
Michelez Notaires procède à la certification de la signature puis sollicite l’apostille auprès de la Cour d’Appel et fait livrer le document chez le client demandeur.
